Time Kids ：Inspired by Kids

The words I learned：


  • Shiver(verb.)輕微顫抖、發抖 When people or animals shiver, they shake slightly because they feel cold, ill, or frightened.
        EX： He shivered with cold in his thin cotton shirt.

  • pirate(noun)海盜、非法複製者，侵犯版權者 a person who sails in a ship and attacks other ships in order to steal from them or a person who illegally copies music, films, computer programs, etc., and sells them.    
        EX： A software pirate made bootleg copies of the computer program.
  • dig sth up(phrasal verb) 挖出，掘出to take something out of the ground by digging
        EX：It's time we dug up those potatoes.

My comments：

I still remember that when I was in high school, my English teacher asked us to read a current news and copy it from The New Yorkers,which is the news website every week.
I really felt very upset when I first started reading it. Many of my words have never been seen. But as time goes on, you will find that you can read the content gradually, because many words will continue to appear repeatedly. For example, "Executive Yuan" almost always reads the word about politics, and you know what it means when you read it for a long time, and you don't have to look up the dictionary all the time.

English news has many themes. Reading it can not only understand more about the latest political and economic trends in the world, but also learn more new knowledge and information, expand your international horizons, and when you chat with others, you can find the latest topics.In addition, you can increase your vocabulary.

So I believe that if you can keep a good habit of reading English news, English ability will continue to improve.

MOOCs

The class： Conversational English Skills, from  National Tsing Hua University My feelings in attending MOOCs： I think MOOCs are very helpful to me because I am a very easy distracted person, often distracted by all kinds of things,like the teacher is speaking too slow to make me feel boring, or the teacher is speaking too fast, so I can't understand what he is saying, or even suddenly I think of funny jokes, etc. These will make me unable to concentrate... It's only about 20 minutes for a class to really take classes seriously. However, MOOCs can solve this problem. It has the advantage of not being limited to time and space. As long as you are connected to the Internet, anyone can learn at any time. Even if you are tired, you can pause the movie. If you can't understand it, you can listen to it repeatedly. If the teacher is speaking to fast, you can adjust the voice speed. Then, MOOCs can also be heard when you have time, even during meals or on the way
